When Clay made the reservations, he couldn't get two campsites next to each other, so he got two that were pretty close together. He got there first on Friday afternoon... and shortly after, by strange coincidence, the people that showed up to set up at the campsite next to him were Mari Ellyn's nephew Jason and his family. Too funny! And they were nice enough to switch with us, so we could be next to Clay and Mari Ellyn. Here is our little set up:

Here's a picture I took of Clay and Mari Ellyn. Clay was leaning over talking to Roxxie. We dubbed him the "Dog Whisperer", because he was constantly talking to Roxxie, trying to get her to stop barking at every dog and kid that went by.

We went on a wild hayride.... we got a flat tire, so we made a detour to put air in it, and then Jake especially liked when the driver bulldozed a picnic table out of our way. LOL
Mari Ellyn shared some strawberries with us, which the kids quickly devoured!

The kids went to see the animals at feeding time. Jake had fun playing on the goats climbing structure...
And Abby, Noah and Nate went chasing chickens again this year...
The kids did a lot of swimming... they couldn't get enough! They swam at the pool and in the pond. They preferred the pond because it had a big raft to swim out to and play on, and the swimming pool has saltwater in it. They said it tasted bad.... :) I told them not to "taste" it then, but hey, what do I know! hee hee

It was a great weekend, and we're looking forward to camping at Tri Ponds again soon!
